This course introduces the basic concepts, theories, perspectives, and approaches of sociology and their application to the study of society and the relationship between the individual and society.

What you will learn

This course is designed to help you:

  • Better understand society and our relationship with it.
  • Gain experience with critical analysis.
  • Introduce several topics in sociology such as gender, social stratification, deviance, the education system and more.

Students have six months from the registration date to complete the course. All course exams and/or assignments must be completed by the designated end date.

Assignments and examinations

  • 4 x quizzes (20% each)
  • 5 x assignments (50%)
  • 1 x final project (30%)
