The main objective of the course is to introduce quantitative methods in order to evaluate engineering projects from financial and economic standpoints as elements of a simple economic model building.

Prerequisite: 3000 level course - students should have at least 60 credit hours completed.

What you will learn

This course is designed to help you:

• Learn practical applications of economic concepts to engineering problems.
• Discover how to complete economic evaluations of real-life engineering projects.
• Learn management of personal and corporate budgets.

Students have six months from the registration date to complete the course. All course exams and/or assignments must be completed by the designated end date.

Assignments and examinations

• 12 x tests (2% each, 24% total)
• 1 x mid-course test (26%)
• 1 x final exam (invigilated, 50%)

The exam(s) for this course will be invigilated on an approved date using Respondus e-proctoring software (LockDown Browser and Monitor). This is a free tool provided with this course, a webcam is required. More information will be given once you have been registered.
