This course is about positioning Canada for success in the new global economy. It blends economic theory, economic analysis, economic history and public policy in the context of the new economy of the 21st century. The contemporary features of the Canadian economy will be analyzed within the parameters of the new global economy of the 21st century.
In this course, students will experience the excitement of intellectual discovery and dissemination of knowledge and participate in an environment that empowers students with specialized knowledge and skills. Students will also be part of a platform that encourages the exchange of ideas, exploring new ideas, and make a contribution towards advancing the frontiers of knowledge. This course will enhance your human capital, broaden your analytical horizons, and provide you with the opportunity to accumulate specialized knowledge.

Prerequisite: Any first-year economics course or permission of the instructor.
Students have six months from the registration date to complete the course. All course exams and/or assignments must be completed by the designated end date.
