This course provides an introduction to contemporary issues in health care. Topics covered include: ethical theory, relationships in health care, informed consent, abortion, euthanasia, scarce medical resources, and acquiring and distributing body parts.

Note: Students cannot take both PHIL 2209 and PHIL 3207 for credit. Although open to all students, this course does not count toward the Major or Honours requirements for Philosophy students. Students who have previously taken PHIL 3203 (Health Care Ethics) online cannot take PHIL 3207 online for credit.
