This course examines the psychological theories of learning, including cognitive, social, and behavioural theories of learning. These are discussed in terms of their interrelatedness and the research supporting each. Topics include principles of human behaviour, conditioning, and non-associative and associative learning.
Video-recorded lectures provide students with an in-class experience and the flexibility of an online course. Study guides assist students in highlighting key information and review lectures allow students to self-evaluate their work to stay on track. Unit quizzes help students master small amounts of material at a time, which assists in retention for the midterm and final exams.
