The Barrett Chair in Entrepreneurship for Digital Transformation was created in 2022 through the generous support from New Brunswick business leaders and entrepreneurs, Edward (Ed) and William (Bill) Barrett.
The chair is based within UNB’s Faculty of Computer Science and aims to instill business and entrepreneurial insight in computer science students.
Dr. Kent has been a professor within the faculty since 2002. He brings academic, industrial, and entrepreneurial experience to this chair position given his many industry collaborations and as a start-up co-founder. In 2020, he was recognized as the New Brunswick Innovation Foundation R3 Star Mentor of the Year.
