Libraries are described as the heart of the university, the essential site for a university education, where students’ experiences are shaped by a combination of library resources, spaces and staff.
Your support of UNB libraries has led to strong growth in their provision of online information resources and provided a setting for excellence. Our library staff is recognized as knowledgeable, committed and friendly, and our students give support staff top grades when surveyed.
The Hans W. Klohn Commons was featured in 2012 Library Design Showcase, published by American Libraries Magazine, which features the best in new and renovated libraries. Additionally, your support has allowed renovations of the Harriet Irving Library and helped create the John B. McNair Learning Commons, a space very popular with students.
Despite these successes, there is room for growth. The shift to online resources has benefited our students immensely, but maintaining our subscriptions along with acquiring print resources is very costly. Donations to our libraries will always be valued and will have a positive impact on thousands of students. Support UNB libraries now.
