Printing, Photocopying & Scanning
Printing
Two duplex printers are available for law student use in the Law Library computer lab. Printing costs are $0.10 per page for single-sided copies and $0.15 per sheet for double-sided (duplexed) pages. A student must pay for printing in the computer lab using their UCard. Print jobs may be sent to the computer lab printers from lab computers, from Law Library loaner laptops, and from student-owned laptops configured to print to our printers.
Two public-use printers are available in the library, one at the Reference Desk and the other at the microform workstation beside the main library entrance. These printers are do not accept UCard payments, so users pay in cash only at the circulation desk. Printing costs $0.10/page (single-sided only). Printed pages must be paid for in full at the time the pages are printed.
Please do not attempt to print labels on Law Library printers. If you need to print labels, consult Law Library staff.
If there are any problems or issues with any printers in the Law Library, please tell library staff immedidately.
Photocopying
One public photocopier is located in the Law Library on the first floor. The photocopier will make single- or double-sided copies on regular or legal size paper.
The copier does not make colour copies.
Please do not attempt to make labels with the photocopier. If you need to print labels, consult Law Library staff.
If there are any problems or issues with any printers in the Law Library, please tell library staff immedidately.

Costs:
- Members of the UNB/STU community: $0.15/page (including HST)
- Members of the public: $0.25/page (including HST)
Charge-Backs
External users may request an invoice or charge-back be issued for photocopying costs in excess of $10. For charges to external organizations (firms, government agencies, etc.), the user must provide a letter from their organization agreeing to pay for the copying and must complete an authorization form at the Circulation Desk. Once the form is completed, the Law Library will send the organization an invoice.
For campus charge-backs, the user must complete an authorization form at the Circulation Desk, using the appropriate complete UNB/STU internal accounting code. Once the form is completed, the Law Library will make a charge-back.
Scanning
The Law Library has a scanner workstation available for UNB student use. There is no cost to use the scanner. Once they log in to the computer, users can scan items and save them to their H: drive, OneDrive, or USB stick, or send them via email. The scanner table is adjustable to a variety of heights to accommodate wheelchair access.
