UNB’s Faculty of Kinesiology has a growing reputation as a national leader in kinesiology, physical education, and recreation and is at the forefront of change in these fields. Since 1957, when UNB offered the first Bachelor of Physical Education degree in the Maritimes, we have been committed to building healthier communities.
UNB’s Faculty of Kinesiology provides a comprehensive approach to the study of human movement. It offers a transformative student experience through practicums and internships. The KIN Kids physical activity program is a guided active play program led by volunteer Kinesiology students designed to engage children ages 5 to 12 in the simple pleasures and benefits of regular physical activity. Children engage in a variety of fun, interactive and non-competitive physical activities which are intended to foster increased self-esteem, self-confidence and a positive self-image.
