Several regional university library groups in Canada offer reciprocal borrowing privileges to visiting faculty, staff and employees through the Canadian University Reciprocal Borrowing Agreement (CURBA).
The University of New Brunswick Libraries are members of the Council of Atlantic University Libraries (CAUL), one of the signatories to the reciprocal borrowing agreement, and recognize all eligible borrowers as being eligible for a CURBA card. Because all UNB retirees have library privileges, they can obtain a CURBA card for use in their travels across Canada.
CURBA cards are available from the circulation desk in both the Harriet Irving Library on the Fredericton campus and the Ward Chipman Library on the Saint John campus.
