UNB’S online application is easy to use and allows you to upload documents and save your application at any stage.
For many programs you will need to upload additional documents such as a CV, Transcripts*, Statement of Interest, Sample of Writing, GRE or GMAT, and 3 References. If English is not your first language, Official English-Language Test scores are required. These documents are outlined in the programs listing.
Once you submit your application you will receive an email to make the application fee payment ($65 CDN). Once your payment has been made and your application is complete, it will be sent to the department for review. Applications usually take four to six weeks to process. Depending on the program, processing applications may take longer.
*Official transcripts are only required if you are accepted into the program. UNB official transcripts are not required. If you do not have unofficial transcripts to upload to your application at the time you are applying, please have your official transcript sent from the institution to:

Review the minimum application requirements to ensure you’re ready for the program. Without a full application package, we can not determine if an applicant would be accepted. As the selection process is competitive, simply meeting the minimum criteria doesn’t secure acceptance into the program.
The MTME program is designed to be taken as a twelve-month, course-based accelerated master’s program. The program has only one intake per year (fall). Classes begin in early September and are delivered in-person on the UNB Fredericton campus. The program includes courses in the fall, winter and summer terms.
Review the list of courses to be taken each term.

GMAT / GRE is not required for entrance into this program.
You do not need to secure a faculty advisor before applying to the program.
As an engineering program, the MTME is designed for people from technical backgrounds who want to pursue an innovative, technology-based entrepreneurial opportunity. That said, it's also well-suited to anyone who would like to learn about managing technology-based companies through an experiential learning approach.
Students do have to develop a tech-based functional prototype as part of one of our core courses, so that’s where the practical technical skills/background (science, engineering, hardware and/or software) requirement is directly applied. Elective courses might also require other skills, such as basic programming/software.
