Much more than a simple ID card, the UCard is the only card students need to carry on campus. It is their student ID card, access card and cash card all rolled into one.
The UCard is used all over campus for purchases, meal plans, library services, printing, as well as access to the gym, special events and other secure areas. It is also used for discounts all over the city.
UCard Cash gift deposits are a great way to let your student know you are there even when you can’t be. The deposits are quick, convenient, and the funds are instantly available for use all over campus for things like printing, purchasing school supplies and textbooks, food, clothing and much more. (Did we mention UCard Cash can’t be used to purchase alcohol, tobacco or lottery tickets?).
Any UCard Cash balances left over at the end of term automatically carry over to your student's next semester - UCard Cash balances never expire.
Need a last minute idea for a birthday gift? Gift deposits can be made by anyone, anytime, 24/7 from a laptop or mobile device. All that is required is the student’s ID number and a credit card. Visa/MasterCard debit cards are now accepted!
It doesn’t have to be a special occasion to give the gift of UCard Cash. Midterms, exams and other stressful times of year are great opportunities to let your student know you are thinking of them.
You can also visit the UCard Office on the Fredericton Campus and purchase a gift card to give them in person.
To make depositing UCard Cash even simpler, you can also schedule deposits so you don’t have to worry about remembering to do it later, or being near a computer or mobile device.
Just have your student log in to UCard Online, save the credit card information in their account, then edit their preferences to set up automatic deposits.
Scheduled deposits can be set up to occur weekly, monthly or whatever is most suitable for you.
Consider setting up automatic deposits before the fall and check one more thing off of your to-do list.
