Faculty and staff participating in the academic procession must wear regalia. For those members of faculty and staff who do not have their own but wish to participate in the academic procession, regalia may be reserved. Information regarding reserving regalia will be available at a later date.
They will gather in the Quad 30-minutes prior to the start of the ceremony, and will be lined up for the academic procession by a Marshal.
Regalia pick-up: Friday, May 30 from 10 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. in K.C. Irving Hall, Room 106
Regalia return: Immediately after the ceremony in K.C. Irving Hall, Room 106
If you have your own regalia and plan on participating at the Saint John ceremony, please notify us so we can ensure enough chairs are reserved at the ceremony. Email graduation@unb.ca by Wednesday, May 21, and indicate the campus on which you will be participating.
To purchase regalia, specific to the university from which you graduated, you can do so through Gaspard at or by calling 1-800-380-8214.
You can also order UNB-specific regalia. The lead time is generally six weeks.
Following the ceremony, graduates, their guests and ceremony participants are invited to a Convocation Reception in the Baird Dining Hall where light refreshments will be served.
