Faculty and staff are invited to participate in the academic procession. The piper will lead the Associated Alumni Honour Guard, graduands and members of faculty and staff in a procession from the Quad to the back of the G. Forbes Elliot Athletics Centre.
Faculty and staff participating in the academic procession must wear regalia. They will gather in the Quad 30-minutes prior to the start of the ceremony, and will be lined up for the academic procession by a Marshal.
Regalia reservations must be completed by May 3 for those members of faculty and staff who do not have their own but wish to participate in the academic procession. Regalia can only be reserved during this time period.
Regalia pick-up: Friday, May 17 from 10 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. in K.C. Irving Hall, Room 106
Regalia return: Immediately after the ceremony in K.C. Irving Hall, Room 106
If you have your own regalia, and plan on participating, please notify us at facgown@unb.ca by Friday, May 3 so we can ensure enough chairs are reserved at the ceremony.
To purchase regalia, specific to the university from which you graduated, you can do so through Gaspard at or by calling 1-800-380-8214.
You can also order UNB-specific regalia. The lead time is generally six weeks.
Following the ceremony, graduates, their guests and ceremony participants are invited to a Convocation Reception in the Baird Dining Hall where light refreshments will be served.
