Throughout your degree, we encourage you to be in contact with your advisor at least once a year to ensure you are on track and scheduled to graduate in a timely manner. You can connect with your advisor through scheduled in person and virtual advising appointments, virtual drop-in sessions, or through email.
Whether you wish to discuss course selection, majors/minors/concentrations, or general degree requirements, advisors can assist you along the way.
If you are thinking about pursuing a major, minor, or concentration throughout your degree, it is strongly encouraged that you let your advisor know about this by the end of your second semester in your second year (after completing 60 credit hours). Knowing this, your advisor can work with you to ensure you are selecting the appropriate courses that you will need in order to reach your academic goals.
You can reach your advisor by emailing sjadvising@unb.ca, or you can schedule an appointment.
These services are available for all BBA, BAM, and incoming students who are transferring into the business program.
Before meeting with an advisor, please ensure you come to the advising session with a completed degree audit form, as well as a list of questions you wish to ask. It’s important to come to these meetings prepared in order to make the most of the time you have with your advisor.
