Required clinical course in the Bachelor of Nursing Undergraduate Program
This integrative practice experience will further enhance development of abilities to assess, intervene and evaluate nursing practice while supporting clients and their families experiencing child-bearing, or those living with chronic health or mental health challenges. *Pre- or Co-requisites: NURS2155 and NURS2187
A Bachelor Degree or higher in Nursing and active registration with the Nurses Associate of New Brunswick is required; current CPR-HCP (also accept BLS for Healthcare Providers). Recent relevant clinical experience in chronic and maternity health nursing is preferred. Previous teaching experience would be considered an asset.
Clinical dates may vary within the term and will be discussed with incumbent. Number of days for clinical time will be calculated to include clinical days and time for evaluation/preparation. Total days/hours will vary depending on group numbers. Number of positions available is dependent upon final class enrolment. You will be required to meet Horizon Health Network placement requirements which may include Criminal Record Check, Immunization requirements and online orientation modules.
