Required clinical course in the Bachelor of Nursing Undergraduate Program.



Course Description

In this clinical practice experience, students will have the opportunity to care for clients and families in acute care environments. Pre- or Co-requisite: NURS 3072.



Qualifications

A Bachelor Degree or higher in Nursing and active registration with the Nurses Association of New Brunswick is required; current CPR-HCP (also accept BLS for Healthcare Providers). Recent relevant clinical experience in acute care nursing is preferred. Previous teaching experience would be considered an asset.



Additional Notes

Clinical dates may vary within the term and will be discussed with incumbent.  Number of days for clinical time will be calculated to include clinical days and time for evaluation/preparation. Total days/hours will vary depending on group numbers.  Number of positions available is dependent upon final class enrolment. You will be required to meet Horizon Health Network placement requirements which may include Criminal Record Check, Immunization requirements and online orientation modules.

Two positions in Medical acute care at DECH

Three positions in Surgical acute care at DECH
