BA1501 is a required (core) course in the BBA program.



Course Description

This course provides the student with an accessible, comprehensive and dynamic introduction to business and management in today's globalized world. Through readings, case studies and guest lectures you will explore a wide range of topics, such as: leadership and motivation, what customers want, financial soundness and ethical concerns, and how economic realities affect businesses. Students will also understand business from both a profit and non-profit context. NOTE: Students must enroll in this course prior to completing 30 credit hours of Business (BA) courses. BAHMT 3+1 students who wish to enroll in this course must do so prior to their college year



Qualifications

The minimum requirement for consideration is a Master's degree or equivalent in a field relevant to the topic area or an undergraduate degree combined with a professional certification in an appropriate field. Previous experience teaching in a university environment is considered an asset.

  5. Course offerings are subject to budgetary approval and a minimum enrollment of 15 students.
  6. The CAE Contract binds the Contract academic Instructor to take the course from start to conclusion including invigilation and marking of the final exam.
  7. Applicants who are Graduate students please submit the Part-time Employment Form with sections 1 and 2 completed with your package.
