The Gregg Centre houses a significant file archive dedicated to the study of modern conflict. First created by the Centre for Conflict Studies in 1980, the archive consists of hundreds of files containing thousands of individual items on post-1945 conflicts and related topics.
The items include media clippings, magazine and journal articles, press releases, analytical papers, and original documents. These are filed either by specific conflicts, such as Afghanistan or Iraq, by subjects such as terrorism, insurgency, counter-insurgency, peace-keeping, and intelligence, or by groups, such as al-Qaeda. The archive is open to students, scholars and other researchers.
