Faculty and staff

Faculty and staff are invited to participate in the academic procession as a member of the Honour Guard. The Honour Guard will form 30-minute prior to the start of each ceremony outside the fourth-floor doors of The Richard J. CURRIE CENTER. In the event of inclement weather, the Honour Guard will form inside the Long Hall on the fourth floor. Regalia is to be worn by each member.

The piper will lead the Marshals and graduands in a procession up Mackay Drive from the second floor Kinesiology building to The Richard J. CURRIE CENTER. Graduands will be greeted by the Honour Guard and Platform Party at the fourth-floor entrance. The Marshals will lead graduands into the performance hall, followed by the Honour Guard and then the Platform Party.

If you have your own regalia, and plan on participating in the Honour Guard, please email graduation@unb.ca by Wednesday, May 21 so we ensure enough chairs are available at the ceremony.

Reserving regalia

Faculty and staff participating in the Honour Guard must wear regalia. For those members of faculty and staff who do not have their own but wish to participate in the academic procession, regalia may be reserved.

Information regarding reserving regalia will be available at a later date.
