Our program and external partners such as Scotiabank, Saputo, MBA alumni Daniel Arnold and the New Brunswick Government offer financial support to UNB students.
The amount of the award depends on:
Once you have been accepted to the program, you should apply for student abroad bursary program, available at the Financial Aid Office.
You must complete the application by the April 1 deadline and submit it to the Financial Aid Office.
You are automatically considered for a travel award once you have been accepted to the student abroad program. There is no separate application.
You will know the amount of the award a few months prior to leaving.
The award will be put on your UNB student account and will go towards paying your full-time tuition for the term(s) when you are on an exchange.
You can apply for a student loan during your time abroad because you will still be registered as a full-time UNB student.
You may also consider submitting an application if you did not qualify for a student loan because living abroad comes with additional expenses.
You may use your UNB scholarship or bursary towards your international experience.
There are other resources available to you! Ask us for a list of financial help specific to your destination or level of study.
This joint initiative of the Rideau Hall Foundations of Canada and Universities Canada is an integral part of our international internship program.
It provides an opportunity for Canadian and international students to take part in local, national and global development challenges faced by Commonwealth countries.
This program aims to develop global citizens through experiences at university, in the workforce and in the community. Through this new generation of enterprising leaders in Canada and around the world, the scholarship enhances collaboration and peer relationships.
If you are an undergraduate student, you can apply to take part in internships with our partners in Malawi, Zambia, Ghana, Jamaica and Barbados. The scholarship is a maximum of $6,000.
