Katherine Aske discovered her passion for agriculture as a Renaissance College student. Now more than ever, she is committed to helping her generation reconnect with the land.
“I believe if we are going to work to solve issues like climate change, environmental degradation and fixing our food system, people need to care about the natural spaces around them.”
Scholastic and leadership abilities have opened doors of opportunities for Katherine, a native of Bedford, Nova Scotia.
In 2015, thanks in part to the Leslie E. Bruce Environmental Scholarship, she spent more than three months of her Renaissance College summer internship on an organic farm in Northern India.
“This was a life-changing experience. Thank you,” Katherine said.
