Fall Orientation

We are excited to welcome the entire first year class to UNB. You are embarking on an exciting time full of new experiences, opportunities, and challenges. We are thrilled to let you know we are here for you every step of the way and plan to make your UNB experience, especially in Science, one you will never forget.

What does faculty orientation day consist of:

Faculty Orientation will be a great time to meet your professors, peers, and your upper year peer mentors. There will be lots of activities, prizes and opportunities to learn more about your classes, and hear directly from your professors.

8:45am - UNB Commencement Ceremony

10:00am - Meet Your Support Team

10:30am - Let's Break the Ice

11:00am - Amazing Race "Science Edition"

12:00pm - Meet-Greet-n-Eat Luncheon 

1:00pm - Science Jeopardy

2:00pm - "Science Success Forum" - Featuring Your Professors

4:00pm - Science Campus Tours - Optional - The peer mentors will also be offering group tours to all students interested in finding their first year classes.

4:30pm - Course Advising and Registration: Students still in need of academic advising and course registration are asked to see Angela Regier at the Science Student Services office.

Academic Assistance During The Year

The Associate and Assistant Deans of Science are available throughout the year to assist you with any concerns, questions, or guidance you may need during your studies here at UNB. You can pre-arrange an appointment or drop-in to the Science Students Services Office. Our office is located in Room S118, in the Science Concourse beside the Science Library. The office is open from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday - Friday.
