We have public observation nights where you can come out and look at different astronomical sights through our telescopes. We will post these on our main webpage in the events section. Also, if you or a group of people would like to organize an observation night please feel free to contact us and we will see what we can arrange for you.

Come take a tour through the historical William Brydone Jack (WBJ) observatory. It is the oldest existing astronomical observatory in Canada and was completed in November 1850. William Brydone Jack used this observatory to make some of the first accurate longitude measurements in Canada. Please contact us if you would like a tour.

We have public observation nights where you can come out and look at different astronomical sights through our telescopes. We can also arrange an observation night for a class where you can come here or we can come to you with some portable telescopes.

Experiments and hands-on lessons are available for a variety of subjects including:

• electricity and magnetism
• optics
• electricity

• quantum physics

These experiments can be performed at UNB or we can bring them to your school. If there's a topic that you are interested in that is not here, please feel free to contact us.

We have kits that can be loaned out to you for use in your classroom. The kits include equipment and lesson plans based on the NB curriculum.

We are interested in welcoming your students from grades 11-12 who enjoy physics and would like a chance to compete in a local competition that is geared towards testing and teaching experimental skills, and physics knowledge. Students compete in teams of four to see who can score the most points.
