Bachelor of Business Administration degree students take a combination of business and non-business courses. Years one and two provide the foundation for more specialized studies in years three and four. Each year includes a required project-based experiential course.
Throughout the degree, students will also be working towards completion of Professional Skills for credit. These include: Excel Skills, Business Research Skills, Career Development, and 40 hours of Professional Development.
Students will also take electives with other faculties, which allows them to explore areas outside of business and set themselves apart from other students with a BBA.
The first year provides a foundation in business courses:
Project based course: Business Planning and Entrepreneurship
The second year provides a management core that introduces you to more funcrtional areas of business as you explore possible majors:
Project-based course: Marketing analysis and solutions (in the contemporary environment)
The third year focuses on sustainability leadership. Required courses include:
Project-based course: Community Leadership Project
Plus, you will take elective courses of interest to you. This is the point in your degree where you can begin a specialization in an area of interest.
The fourth year focuses on professional specialization. You will take one required course:
Project-based capstone course: Strategic Management
Plus, you will take electives that allow you to tailor the degree to your career goals.
