At UNB Law, we believe that the legal education we offer should have a real impact on the community. We are committed to improving access to justice through initiatives such as the UNB Legal Clinic.
Launched in fall 2022, the Legal Clinic operates under the direction of an experienced lawyer. Third-year students provide free legal representation to people who cannot afford a lawyer and who do not qualify for legal aid. Services are offered in the areas of housing, social benefits, employment standards and human rights.
In addition to our flagship Legal Clinic, UNB Law also offers an annual Tax Clinic that provides free income tax filing services for students and their families.
These programs offer excellent practical training for aspiring lawyers and a tremendous service to the community.
