In 2007, UNB’s Chapman Field underwent an extensive refurbishment.
The old grass surface was replaced with a new synthetic one. A team clubhouse was built, and the infrastructure for a seasonal dome was put in place.
The new multi-million dollar facility was rebranded the BMO Centre and is a marquee soccer venue in our region that has hosted a number of regional and national events.
The facility offers REDS players, as well as local athletes, year-round training and competitive opportunities.
Each year, from December until April, the dome goes up over a portion of the artificial turf field. This enables UNB teams to continue to train over the winter. It also houses a number of youth player development programs that UNB runs for the local soccer community.
