Can you tell me more about how to get two certificates with only four courses?
Our Certificate in Psychologically Safe Leadership (CPSL) and Certificate in Becoming a Psychologically Safe & Inclusive Employee (CPSIE) share two core courses. To get both certificates with only four courses, follow these steps:
- Complete the two core courses:
- Psychologically Safe Workplaces (IWH 1000)
- Becoming a Psychologically Safe Leader (IWH 1001)
- Select one more course from either program to complete your first certificate:
- CPSL: Promoting a Psychologically Safe Workplace (IWH 1002)
- CPSIE: Behaving as a Psychologically Safe & Inclusive Team Member (IWH 1006)
- Once you have completed one certificate, take the final course from the other program to receive both.
Are there funding options for CPSIE?
Our OHS programs are not recognized by student loans as they are offered asynchronously, without fixed start and end dates. However, you may be able to obtain funding through alternate routes, including:
- UNB Awards and Scholarships
- Student line of credit through your bank
- RESP (Registered Education Savings Plan) or RRSP - you will need to check to see if your registered plan allows for this
- Employment Insurance
Are there sponsorship opportunities for CPSIE?
A sponsorship can take many forms. As an example, you may be sponsored by your employer, a case manager through a retraining program, or through a third-party group such as WorkSafe.
To send a formal invoice to your sponsor, please have your sponsor complete this online Invoice Request Form or email a copy of your PO to our office at customerservice@unb.ca. The PO must have the following information:
- Student's name
- Course name
- Payment amount
- Sponsor's mailing address
- Sponsor's contact name, phone number, and email address
How do I register if I have a sponsor?
If you have a sponsor for your course/program registration, and do not already have an account in our registration system, please create one at our UNB Professional Development Student Portal. Under "I need an account", enter your email address (this will be your login/user ID, defaults to all lower case). Once you have completed your profile, you will receive a link to create your password. The link expires within 30 minutes.
Our office will match up the PO or submitted invoice request form from your employer to your account and process your registration. Unless otherwise indicated, we will register you into your first course, which will begin immediately.
If you have additional questions, please email us at customerservice@unb.ca and we'll be happy to help.
I've completed my course; how do I register for the next one?
If you are ready to register and submit payment for your next course you can use our online registration portal. If you have prepaid for your courses or are sponsored, you can send an email request to our team at customerservice@unb.ca or call us at 1-888-259-4222, option 2.
How do I request an extension?
If you need extra time to complete your course, please submit an Extension Request.
I need to get a copy of my transcript, receipt, or T2202 - how do I do that?
Visit your student portal and log in using your username and password. Once you are logged in you will see options listed on the left-hand side for transcripts, receipts, and T2202 forms. NOTE: Please ensure that you have selected the appropriate tax year so you can download or print the proper tax receipt.
My course expired. Am I still able to complete it?
Yes, of course you can. To reactivate an expired course, complete the Expired Course Form and our team will re-register you so that you can pick up where you left off.
I finished a course but have been away from my studies for a while. How do I become active again?
If you have been inactive for a length of time, your access will close down. To reactivate your access, you will need to register for a new course.
I'm done. How do I get my certificate?
Congratulations! Please follow these steps to access a digital copy of your certificate:
- Log in to the Student Portal
- Click "My Certificates" on the left-hand side of the page
- Select the "Print" button beside the certificate
- Review and save the downloaded copy of the certificate for your records
I've finished the CPSIE program and now I want to get my CPSL. How do I get the second certificate?
Congratulations! Because CPSIE shares two core courses with the Certificate in Psychologically Safe Leadership (CPSL), you only need to take one more course to get a second certificate.
You can register for the CPSL course through our online registration system.
I have a question for my Instructor. How do I reach them?
We've made it easy for you to connect with your instructors. In D2L, you will find your instructor's email address on the "About Your Instructor" page. Copy that address then click on the "Email" tab in the top taskbar. Your instructor will respond to you in the manner you indicated in your email (i.e. email communication or a telephone call).
If you have additional questions, please email us at customerservice@unb.ca and we'll be happy to help.
