At 10:30 a.m. on Sept. 28, UNB will celebrate the success of It Begins Here with gala events at the John Meagher Auditorium in Fredericton and the Ganong Hall Lecture Theatre in Saint John. You're invited to join us - and there is still time to make a donation that changes lives!
It Begins Here: The Campaign For the University of New Brunswick was officially launched in November, 2016 with a fundraising goal of $110 million - the largest in our university's history. Fully 50 per cent of that target, or $55 million, is being invested in student support. The other funds will be used to build upon the strengths of our faculties.
"It Begins Here has five key objectives, which reflect UNB’s strengths and the priorities of our university community," says UNB President Eddy Campbell. "We will give our students a great start by improving access to quality education, supporting excellence and creating new opportunities to apply what they learn. And we will invest in our faculties, because a great university requires great researchers, teachers, classrooms and laboratories."
Campbell adds that, “we are better at what we do, in key areas, than any university in Canada and we will build on our academic strengths. We will lead Canada’s next wave of innovation, because we are Canada’s most entrepreneurial university and UNB has always been a force for change. Most of all, we will prepare our students to succeed in the world, because they will be the architects of New Brunswick’s future, and Canada’s."

For alumni who cannot attend in person, the event will be livestreaming on facebook.com.
