Introduction to human resources management (HRM) in healthcare provides a broad overview of health human resource management. In this course, students will learn about the theoretical foundations of HRM and will have an opportunity to explore challenges and the best practices of human resource management within the healthcare environment. Some topics include job analysis and design, human resource planning, recruitment and selection, performance management, and onboarding, training and development, and career planning. NOTE: This course is offered exclusively for students enrolled in the Nursing Leadership and Management Certificate.

Prerequisite: BA 5001 with a minimum grade of C.
