PHIL3434Concept of Miracle (A)3 ch (W)
This course examines philosophical issues associated with the concept of miracle. Questions of whether miracles need to be defined as violating the laws of nature, how the laws of nature should be conceived, and the possibility of testimonial evidence ever being sufficiently strong to justify belief in a miracle are examined through the reading of classic and contemporary texts.
