Examine the Trojan War and Mycenaean palaces, the origins of the world's first democracy, the Persian Wars, Pericles and the Athenian Golden Age, the clash of Athens and Sparta, the conquests of Alexander the Great. Analyse ancient texts to discover how the Greeks interacted with and were influenced by their neighbours the Egyptians, Achaemenid Persians, Thracians, and Carthaginians.
