This course (i) covers aspects of the biology of microorganisms from a clinical perspective, (ii) provides an introduction to the fundamental concepts of infectious disease microbiology, and (iii) discusses microbial diseases affecting the skin, nervous system, cardiovascular system, respiratory system, digestive system, and urinary and reproductive systems. Note: This course is not equivalent to BIOL 2073, and is restricted to students who have not received prior credit for BIOL 2073. As well, Biology honours majors and minors cannot count this course as a Biology Credit, only as an elective.
