Please join us as we present Dr. Chris Huskilson (BScEE'79, MScEE'82, DSc'14) with the UNB Engineering Distinguished Alumni Award.
After earning a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from UNB in 1979, Chris Huskilson joined the Nova Scotia Power Company in 1980 and completed a Master's degree at UNB in 1982. He became COO of Emera and Nova Scotia Power in 2003, and President and CEO of Emera in 2004.
Chris is a champion of clean and renewable energy, helping drive the Lower Churchill Project, Cape Sharp Tidal and the formation of the Emera & NB Power Research Centre for Smart Grid Technologies at UNB. He has served as Chair of the Greater Halifax Partnership, the Canadian Electricity Association, and the Energy Council of Canada as well as Director of the Nova Scotia Community College, the Edison Electric Institute, and InnovaCorp.
UNB Civil Engineering faculty members and alumni are proudly playing an important role in hosting CSCE 2018 in Fredericton in 2018.
