Sarah Boyd

Sarah Boyd from Hanwell, New Brunswick, is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Engineering with a major in Electrical Engineering and a minor in Mathematics.

Community service, peer support, advocacy and kindness are what drive Sarah–particularly in the UNB Engineering community. This is evident in her previous roles as president and vice-president finance for the Engineering Undergraduate Society (EUS), where she led a team of 60, improved inclusivity initiatives, sought and maintained professional relations and secured various sponsorships. She also held positions as an Engineering peer mentor, the co-chair of the Atlantic Engineering Competition (AEC), and vice-president academic of the Electrical, Computer and Software Engineering Society (ECSES).


Denisha Coelho

Denisha Coelho from Mumbai, India, is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology.

Denisha believes that setbacks are opportunities for growth, and her work is a testament to this. Her personal life experiences have led her to seek roles that foster opportunity for fellow students, break gender disparities and contribute to diversity and inclusion for all. She is the founder and secretary general of the UNB Model United Nations (UNBMUN), co-chair of the Girls STEM Up Conference, co-president of the Undergraduate Kinesiology Society and board member of the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Committee.


Abigail Conrad

Abigail Conrad from Cavan, Ontario, is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts with joint honours in Sociology and French.

Abigail is the president of the Nels Anderson Society (a UNB sociology society), where she wrote a new constitution and had the society re-ratified with the Student Union. She is the co-president of UNB S.P.R.I.N.G., a weekly one-on-one activity for children with disabilities. She also worked as the communications and social media director for the UNB Centre for Resources in French (CRF). These are just some examples of the way Abigail embraces this simple two-word guiding principle: be kind.


Camilla Drost

Camilla Drost from Fredericton, New Brunswick, is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Engineering with a major in Chemical Engineering and a minor in Mathematics. Camilla is also pursuing a Diploma in Technology, Management, and Entrepreneurship with two specializations in Nuclear Power and Energy Conservation.

Camilla is a leader committed to accessibility, creating opportunities for engineering students and contributing to the betterment of UNB. As an executive member of the Engineering Undergraduate Society (EUS), she has supported and represented students through a variety of fundraisers and initiatives. As vice-president external, she has represented UNB Engineering at the local, regional and national levels. She was a competitions organiser for the 2024 Atlantic Engineering Competition and a key member in the launch of the UNB Menstrual Health Society.


Vincent d’Entremont

Vincent d’Entremont from Hebbville, Nova Scotia, is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Engineering with a major in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Option.

While striving for his own goals, Vincent makes others’ success part of the process. He is committed to bringing people together and providing meaningful experiences to fellow students. He is the elected president of the Engineering Undergraduate Society (EUS). Most recently, he aided in starting the on-campus engineering blood drive and planning a hockey game fundraiser. Vincent has also acted as vice-president of services for the Atlantic Council of Engineering Students (ACES) and vice-president finance for the 2022 Canadian Engineering Competition.


Sophia Gatto

Sophia Gatto from Fredericton, New Brunswick, is pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration with honours in Accounting, a minor in Mathematics and a concentration in Logistics.

Sophia is driven by her mission to ensure no one at UNB feels like an outsider. Through her work as president of the UNB Mental Health Association (MHA), Sophia helps create an empathic and supportive campus environment. As vice-president finance for UNB’s Environmental Society (UNBES), she connects students to resources that help them live more sustainable lives. As co-founder of UNB Gives Blood (UNBGB), she educates students on the importance of donating blood, which resulted in more than 50 new donors at October clinics.


Anajose Reyes Guevara

Anajose Reyes Guevara from Fredericton, New Brunswick, is pursuing a Bachelor of Science with honours in Biology.

Anajose seeks to foster inclusive and supportive campus communities. In her role as chair of the University Women’s Centre, she ensures students have access to information on topics such as personal health, community events and social justice. She established new initiatives that have increased engagement and turn out for the Centre’s events and projects. She is also involved in the Girls STEM Up Conference, a peer mentor of the Science Student Leadership Program, an executive member of the Undergraduate Biology Society and a choreographer for the UNB REDS dance team.


Aidan Keenan

Aidan Keenan from Blackville, New Brunswick, is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts with honours in History.

Aidan believes that attending university is an opportunity to achieve more than a degree and his actions are a testament to this belief. Aidan is the president of the Undergraduate History Society, which grew from three members to 25 under his leadership. He also works as a Faculty of Arts peer mentor and an outreach coordinator for the UNB Wildlife Society. Aidan is driven by a desire to approach his work in new and innovative ways and to create new opportunities for fellow students.


Loreena Kuijper

Loreena Kuijper from Sheshatshiu, Newfoundland and Labrador, is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts with honours in Psychology.

Loreena is motivated to address mental health gaps, develop culturally sensitive interventions and promote healthy lifestyles within Indigenous communities. She strives to make meaningful change by supporting the development of policies that empower the Innu and strengthening self-governance structures in their communities. This led her to a research assistant position wherein she contributed to studies with these goals in mind. Additionally, Loreena was an Indigenous student council member, helping to cultivate a sense of belonging and cultural expression for Indigenous students.


Sungmok (“Mok”) Lee

Sungmok (“Mok”) Lee from Seoul, South Korea, is pursuing a Bachelor of Science with honours in Biology.

Mok’s various research and volunteer experiences are a testament to his passion for science, research in healthcare and enhancing the spirit of volunteerism and empathy at UNB. As a volunteer research assistant, Mok has aided in research on topics that include mental health and multiple myeloma. He is also the founder and president of the UNBSJ Community Service Club, which provides students an opportunity to learn the importance of altruism and community support. These, along with his other volunteer and community work, exemplify Mok’s commitment to compassion, empathy and humanity. 


Hala Nasir

Hala Nasir from Fredericton, New Brunswick, is pursuing a Bachelor of Science with honours in Biology and a minor in Anthropology.

Hala’s passion lies in amplifying and empowering underprivileged voices. She contributes to medical research, patient equity and diversity and cares deeply about the future of healthcare. She is currently the president of UNB’s Health Science Society, a vision mate for the Canadian National Institute for the Blind, a co-chair for UNB’s Connect the Thoughts (an interdisciplinary health case competition), a Faculty of Science peer mentor and the chair for the New Brunswick Regional Hub for Breast Cancer Canada. She contributes to solving complex healthcare problems centred around long-term care by driving innovative research solutions.


Haley Prosser

Haley Prosser from Petitcodiac, New Brunswick, is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts with joint honours in English and History.

Haley’s innate passion for volunteering and leadership has only been amplified during her time at UNB. Most recently, she revived the dormant Albert Ross Undergraduate English Society (ARUES) and was voted its president by her peers. She is also a residence assistant, was a proud RedShirt and has donated her time to various other campus events including Freddy Fright Fest and the President's Christmas Dinner. Haley’s work is a testament to her passion for cultivating a sense of community for students at UNB.


Andrew Smith

Andrew Smith from St. Stephen, New Brunswick, is pursuing a Bachelor of Science with a major in Biology.

Andrew’s interest in healthcare and biology began at a young age. Throughout his time at UNB, he found a calling in helping to facilitate learning for his peers, and helping others find their place in the university. As a Peer-Assisted Learning Program (PAL) leader, Andrew has hosted constructive weekly discussions and helped countless first-year students on their path to succeeding in Biology. He is also a case development chair for UNB Connect the Thoughts (an interdisciplinary health case competition), vice-president of the UNB Health Science Society (HSS) and a Faulty of Science peer mentor.


Ariane Volpé

Ariane Volpé from Fredericton, New Brunswick, is pursuing a Bachelor of Science with honours in Medicinal Chemistry.

Ariane is committed to eradicating disparities and ensuring equal opportunity for all – particularly for women in STEM. Her position as marketing chair for the Girls STEM Up Conference and her previous role as a program assistant with SHAD Canada are testament to this commitment. These roles are fueled by Ariane’s interest in science and her wish to advocate for equality for future generations. She is also the logistics coordinator for the UNB Menstrual Health Society and a beginner ride leader for River Valley Cycling.


Madison Worth

Madison Worth from Nauwigewauk, New Brunswick, is pursuing a Bachelor of Science with honours in Biology-Psychology and a minor in Philosophy.

Madison believes that a culture of community and connection breeds collaboration, innovation and encouragement – all things that create a positive university environment. Madison brings this thinking to her role as president and CEO for UNB Students' Representative Council (SRC), where she implemented new services like the breakfast program and the food pantry. Madison is also president and founder of the UNB Saint John Science Society where she wrote the constitution and developed a framework for the peer mentorship program. As the UNB Saint John Learning Communities leader, she provides evidence-based techniques for transitioning to university life.
