Abstract
CubeSat NB is one of the 15 projects in the Canadian CubeSat Project, sponsored by the Canadian Space Agency (CSA). CubeSat NB is a first-of-its-kind partnership among the New Brunswick Community College (NBCC), the Université de Moncton (UdeM) and the University of New Brunswick (UNB). The New Brunswick Innovation Foundation (NBIF) is also significant financial supporter of CubeSat NB. Our CubeSat is named VIOLET and we have to deliver VIOLET to the CSA in the fall of 2021. The mission is to study space weather, using two payloads. The payloads are called GRIPS (GNSS Receiver for Ionospheric and Position Studies) and SASI (Spectral Airglow Structure Imager). UNB is providing the mission and hardware development. UdeM is providing the software and ground station. NBCC is providing the assembly, integration and testing of hardware.
