The University of New Brunswick Fredericton welcomes applications for the position of Research Engineer with the Faculty of Engineering: Off-site Construction Research Centre (OCRC). This is a 1-year term, full-time (36.25 hours per week) position with a salary range of $51,238 - $66,609 per annum (a Market Differential may apply).
The Research Engineer works closely with the Research Team and is responsible for coordinating research projects, supporting preparation of technical reports, providing guidance on software and hardware needs, and aiding the Innovation Director in the operations of the Centre.

Position summary:
- Provide technical support to the research team.
- Liaise and lead projects with industry partners.
- Create project management plans, review technical reports, and manage timeline of projects.
- Write and review funding applications.
- Support development of educational courses offered to industry partners.
- Support all OCRC staff and students with hardware and software needs, including scheduling demos from vendors or offering tutorials.
- Support the OCRC in organizing events and preparing technical content for the events.
Requirements/Skills:
- Diploma or bachelors degree in engineering, architecture, construction management or a related field.
- 2+ years' experience private industry.
- Experience in engineering consulting would be an asset.
- Graduate research degree with a focus on BIM would be an asset.
- Experience in 3D modelling, animations and simulation would be an asset.
- Experience with CAD, CAM and BIM software would be an asset.
- Experience in project, BIM or VDC management or coordination would be an asset.
