The Faculty of Education in the University of New Brunswick invites applications for a two-year limited term Assistant Teaching Professor appointment in International Baccalaureate K-12 Instruction. This appointment will commence July 1, 2024 or as soon as possible there after subject to final budgetary approval.
Qualifications: The successful candidate will have a Masters in Education and significant experience with the IB program and with the IB schools located in the Maritimes and elsewhere. The applicant must demonstrate excellence in his/her teaching. Experience teaching in IB schools is required, and ability to develop and maintain partnerships at IB schools and the IBEC organization is essential.
We are seeking someone who will take a leadership role in the design and delivery of the IB courses and will provide primary administrative support to the program. The candidate may also be required to do some advising and application review. They will supervise and coordinate IB practicum placements and locate internship sites and mentors. Some teaching in the IB program will be assigned and teaching in the K - 12 program will be expected.
