The University of New Brunswick (UNB) Libraries invites applications for the tenure track position of Open Scholarship and Applied Sciences Librarian to commence by January 1, 2024, subject to final budgetary approval. Review of applications will begin on October 10, 2023 and continue until the position is filled. As a member of the UNB Libraries team, the incumbent will report to the Dean of Libraries with responsibilities overseen by the Associate Dean, the Director of Learning and Engagement, and the Director of Collections Strategy and Scholarly Communication.

The Open Scholarship and Applied Sciences Librarian will have a university-wide role in supporting open scholarship, data management, and publishing with an emphasis on the STEM disciplines. In addition, this role will undertake service and leadership activities locally, regionally, and potentially beyond as circumstances require and allow. The nature and scope of responsibilities for this and other library positions are expected to change as the UNB Libraries system evolves.
