The Faculty of Computer Science at the University of New Brunswick's Fredericton Campus located at 550 Windsor Street, Fredericton, New Brunswick, E3B 5A3, champions teaching and research in artificial intelligence, computer systems, human-computer interaction, and information and data science, and is home to the Canadian Institute for Cybersecurity, Canada's research leader in cybersecurity. The Faculty of Computer Science invites applications for a three-year term position at the rank of Assistant Teaching Professor in the field of Applied Cybersecurity. Salary for the Assistant Teaching Professor Position ranges from $76,410 to $99,329 based on the Collective Agreement.

To be considered for the position, applicants are expected to have a minimum of a PhD degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or in a relevant discipline. Applicants should have completed at least one year of teaching experience at the University level in Computer Science courses in both introductory and advanced levels and must be able to teach advanced courses in Cybersecurity. Additional post-doctoral or industrial experience and ability to collaborate on industry-focused projects would be considered assets. Exceptional oral and written communication skills are essential.

Subject to budgetary approval, this position will start as early as July 1, 2023 for a three-year term. The Assistant Teaching Professor will be teaching undergraduate and graduate students in Computer Science at our Fredericton, NB campus with the computer science faculty located at the Faculty of Computer Science, UNB Campus, Fredericton, NB.
