The Faculty of Computer Science at the University of New Brunswick's Fredericton Campus champions teaching and research particularly in artificial intelligence, computer systems, data science, database systems, data mining, human-computer interaction, machine learning, and software engineering. The Faculty of Computer Science invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor. We seek exceptional candidates with high quality research and publications to strengthen and complement our current training and research programs. Entrepreneurship, industrial experience, and ability to collaborate on both research and industry-focused projects will be considered assets.
To be considered for the position the applicant should have a PhD degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or in a relevant discipline; three years of additional related experience are desirable. The successful candidate is expected to develop a strong, externally funded research program, supervise graduate and undergraduate students, work with industry, and be able to teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels in Computer Science. Exceptional oral and written communication skills and the ability to work on team projects are essential.
This position is subject to final budgetary approval and will start on July 1, 2023 or shortly thereafter. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience of the successful applicant. Review of applications will begin January 15, 2023 and will continue until the position is filled.
