The Department of Social Science at the University of New Brunswick in Saint John invites applications for a probationary tenure-track position in Communication Studies at the rank of Assistant Professor. The appointment will commence on July 1, 2023 and is subject to budgetary approval.
The successful candidate will have research and teaching expertise in social media studies. Expertise in Cultural Studies and/or Health (such as health communication, sports, or wellness) would be an asset as these additional fields would facilitate continued collaboration with the Sociology program and the Bachelor of Health (Society and Health major).
Candidates should have a PhD in Communication Studies, Media Studies or a related discipline and undergraduate teaching experience in the field of social media studies. The successful candidate will teach introductory and upper level courses, and have the opportunity to supervise graduate students.
