The Faculty of Education at the University of New Brunswick invites applications for a tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the area of Early Childhood Education. Applicants must have a doctoral degree in a relevant field and have a beginning record of scholarly publishing. Direct experience in elementary public school and/or early years teaching, professional development with early years and/or elementary teachers, or curriculum writing experience is essential. This person will be an integral member of the ECE faculty, contributing to the research, teaching and professional learning conducted by the Early Childhood Centre. The ideal candidate will have experience working with the International Baccalaureate Program and will have demonstrated ability with teaching in on-line formats.

The position requires a proven understanding of current theories of early literacies, and current trends and issues in various areas of practice related to early years/elementary education. Responsibilities will include teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, student supervision at the master's and doctoral levels, pursuit of a program of funded research and scholarship, and teaching online in the Early Childhood Education Bachelor of Education online degree.

The appointment, effective July 1, 2023 or as soon as possible thereafter, will be at the Assistant Professor level.
