Bradley Michael "Brad" Whipple was an avid sportsman and a caring and giving person who loved languages and meeting new people, which all combined to give him his wings to travel.
Born in Saint John, on August 5, 1977, he was the son of Robert and Trina (Curran) Whipple of Saint John. Brad graduated from Saint John High School in 1995, the University of New Brunswick Fredericton, Kinesiology program in 1999 and then obtained his International Languages Teaching Certificate (TESL) in Halifax, NS. Brad was a facilitator at UNB Saint John and UNB Fredericton and worked and studied in Siena, Italy and Torreón, Mexico and most recently was working at the Hispano American University in Heredia, Costa Rica.
Brad passed away unexpectedly at the age of 25 on Monday, October 21, 2002, while working in Costa Rica.
In tribute to Brad, his family has established the Bradley Michael Whipple (BMW) Memorial Award for students at UNB Saint John.
