When it comes to her university experience, Ishtar Al Tahir is looking to combine her engineering studies with a number of commitments to her community.
Ishtar is treasurer for the UNB International Students Association, works with the Iraqi Association of Fredericton, volunteers with Frontier College and is a member of both the Youth Action Team and UNB’s Astronomical Society.
Ishtar, who graduated from Fredericton High School, is using these tutoring and leadership experiences to help prepare for her professional career.
