It began with the idea of creating a socially-conscious clothing company. When Kayley Reed (BPhil ’14) and her business partner Kyle MacNevin needed information about how to make the idea a reality, they turned to the Dr. J. Herbert Smith Centre for Technology Management & Entrepreneurship (TME) at UNB Fredericton.
With the guidance of TME leaders, Kayley and Kyle launched the award-winning Wear Your Label, which has been featured in national and international news outlets. The company is one of TME’s greatest success stories and has generated interest and support from major companies that believe in its mission.
RBC, whose generous donation of $1 million will support the RBC Innovative Action Fund at TME, is helping create more successful ventures. The fund will support a variety of experiential activities, creating new business opportunities for students as well as members of the community.
