Join us for the Climate-Resilient Coastal Natural Infrastructure Workshop & ACCESS 2019 event from May 6–10 at Saint Mary’s University in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
This joint-event is hosted by the Cold Regions Living Shorelines Community of Practice (CRLS CoP) (May 6-8), ACCESS (Atlantic Canada Coastal & Estuarine Science Society) (May 9-10), and TransCoastal Adaptations: Centre for Nature-Based Solutions.
The Climate-Resilient Coastal Natural Infrastructure Workshop is seeking workshop and poster abstracts focused on Nature-Based Adaptations and Applications, Challenges, and Successes for Building with Nature.
ACCESS 2019 is seeking professional and student oral and poster research focused on Coastal & Estuarine Science, Coastal Habitat Restoration, Climate Change Adaptation and Indigenous-led Coastal Research.
Jeffrey K. King, PhD, PE, Deputy National Lead for Engineering With Nature® Initiative with the US Army Corps of Engineers joins us as the Climate-Resilient Workshop keynote. With Dr. Ariana Sutton-Grier, Director of Science at The Nature Conservancy (Maryland/DC), joining us as the CERF/ACCESS keynote!
This joint-event boasts dynamic opportunities for multidisciplinary speakers and attendees to engage in cross-disciplinary workshops around nature-based adaptations to climate change, live demonstrations, applied posters, and the latest coastal & estuarine research. Wednesday May 8th offers a free Public & Practitioner Tech-Vendor Trade Show & Reception!
