Department Chair
We are interested in the interactions between ionising radiation and matter. Synchrotron radiation and high energy electron beams, coupled with time-of-flight mass spectrometry and coincidence techniques are used to study core excitation and photoionisation, as well as the fragmentation dynamics and relaxation processes of core-excited or multiply-ionised molecules. The research is performed primarily at synchrotron facilities such as the Canadian Light Source, with computational methods used to aid in the interpretation of experimental results.
