Dr. Allen Curry grew up in the Muskoka Region of Ontario and spent his early years surrounded by rivers, lakes, and forests. He followed his passion into his professional life and academic career. Allen joined us at UNB in 1995 and is currently a professor in both the Biology and Forestry and Environmental Management Departments.
Allen held the position of Director of the Canadian Rivers Institute from 2003 until 2013 and he currently holds the position of Science Director, and remains one of the key players in the organization. Allen holds the Cloverleaf/NBDNR Professorship in Recreational Fisheries and is Assistant Director of the NB Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit. He also was one of the lead investigators in the Mactaquac Aquatic Ecosystem Study.
