Teaching and scholarly expertise

Before moving to academia, I worked in a variety of practice settings including orthopaedics and general surgery after graduating from UNB Nursing in 2006. However, my primary area of interest has always been the health of people who give birth and children.

I have worked in Neonatal Intensive Care, Paediatrics, and as a Research Coordinator care for a Women and Children’s Health Programme. I have also taken on leadership roles including as a Clinical Nurse Specialist (Women and Children's Health) and Nurse Manager of multiple ambulatory WCHP clinics.

I am a PhD student in Nursing at Queen’s University. In this capacity, my research focuses on abortion care, specifically access to medical abortion treatment in New Brunswick and Canada.
