Joey Chessie

An active and proud member of the ANBLS, Joseph is a licensed New Brunswick Land Surveyor with experience leading and executing a broad range of geomatics projects in and around Fredericton, New Brunswick. Joseph serves as part of the senior management team responsible for the Provincial Land Registry within Service New Brunswick and acts as a chief resource for the Province on issues related to land surveying, mapping, and data collection.

Joseph was designated as the Director of Surveys in April, 2016 and is subsequently responsible for overseeing the establishment and maintenance of the New Brunswick Coordinate Survey System and leading the development of standards, policies and programs for control surveying in the Province. Joseph holds a degree in Geodesy & Geomatics Engineering from the University of New Brunswick, where he continues to teach cadastral studies to Land Administration and Survey Law Students.
